SHAH ALAM, April 4 — The Hulu Langat district has recorded 324 positive Covid-19 cases, which is the highest amount the four categorised red zones in Selangor.
Citing the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) from the Selangor Health Department, The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) said there had been an increase of 37 cases in the district as of 7 pm yesterday from the 287 cases recorded on Thursday.
“The three other districts in the red zone is Petaling with 255 cases, Klang (101) and Gombak (97).
“Sepang has 33 cases, followed by Kuala Selangor (29), Hulu Selangor (22), Kuala Langat (19) and Sabak Bernam (7),” said the STFC on Twitter last night.
In a press conference on the daily Covid-19 updates, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said almost half of the recorded cases in Selangor had originated from the cluster of the Jamek Sri Petaling Mosque tabligh gathering.
Seven villages in Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat, was placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from March 30 to April 13, after 71 positive Covid-19 cases were identified among 274 residents of a tahfiz school there.
