SHAH ALAM, Dec 29 — Civil servants in Selangor of Grade 54 and below have today received the Special Financial Aid (Bantuan Khas Kewangan or BKK) of a half month’s pay.
Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the incentive is in line with the approved allocation of RM16.5 million under the Belanjawan Selangor 2021 (2021 Selangor Budget), which was announced on October 30.
“Hopefully, the aid by the state government will be used to benefit the Selangor people well,” he said on a Facebook post today.
On June 9, the state administration had paid out the BKK cash incentive of RM1,000 to the employees in the public sector, which involved 18,500 staff of Grade 56 and below.
Amirudin had on May 15 announced the one-off special aid assistance totalling RM18.5 million in the Selangor Cares Package 2.0 to benefit frontliners, the staff of local authorities, statutory bodies and subsidiary companies under the Selangor government.
State executive council members and state assemblymen are not included as the recipients.
