Air Selangor app receive international recognition

SHAH ALAM, May 12 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) has received recognition from the Singapore Business Review following the success of two of its mobile application (app) that simplifies consumers experience and enhances its operation.

The country’s largest water operator said it had won the 2021 Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards for the Mobile – Utilities category, through the development of the Air Selangor Customer App and Operations Mobile App (OMA).

“As of 2021, more than 1.78 million customers have downloaded the Air Selangor app via the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei Gallery.

“Using this app, customers have been able to conveniently refer to their monthly water bills, make payments online and also liaise with our customer service teams to answer any queries they may have,” said Air Selangor in a statement today.

Air Selangor explained the OMA was developed for its staff to make on-site reports in real-time and resolve any problems more efficiently.

The agency said the use of the app also enables Air Selangor’s operations to run smoothly anywhere and anytime.

“We are immensely grateful for the support of our consumers, and always strive to provide the best and most reliable experience to our consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya,” said Air Selangor.
