Almost 55 pct of adult population in Selangor fully vaccinated

SHAH ALAM, Aug 18 — A total of 2.61 million individuals or 54.9 per cent of the adult population in Selangor have completed their two doses of the Covid-19 vaccines.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Amirudin Shari said as of today, 3.81 million adults, or 80.2 per cent, have received their first dose.

“The cumulative number of doses which have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) in Selangor is 6.42 million.

“Meanwhile an additional 304,784 doses have been administered via the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax),” he said on Facebook today.

Earlier, the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) in an infographic stated that Selangor’s vaccination rate stands at 96,857 out of the total 525,111 doses recorded nationwide as of yesterday.
