SHAH ALAM, Nov 3 — The Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) for Community and Adolescent at Selcare panel clinics throughout the state has made it easier for more individuals to get vaccinated.
The initiative benefits 12-to-17-year-olds, as well as foreigners and individuals who have yet to get an appointment or missed their second appointment for their Selvax slot.
A doctor at the Selcare Clinic in Section 13 here said about 20 individuals received the vaccine there in the past two days with the programme running smoothly.
“Many parents choose Selvax for their children as maybe they are more confident in it. In fact, all vaccines are capable of fighting Covid-19, it is up to them to make a choice,” said Dr Muhammad Azlan Mohd Amin when met today.
The Selvax Community programme has been continued at Selcare panel clinics in the state, and Perak since Monday to ensure no people are left behind in getting the Covid-19 vaccine.
The programme involves locations in Kajang, Batang Kali, Kuala Selangor, Sungai Besar, Ampang, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Bukit Changgang, Puchong, Gombak, and Tanjung Malim in Perak.
Those who want to get vaccinated need to register early through the SELangkah mobile application and enter the right voucher code.
On October 7, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that Selvax would be extended to teenagers with 150,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine allocated after it was approved by the Health Ministry.
Previously Selangor launched Selvax Community and Selvax Industry to expedite and complete the vaccination process for the people of this state.
