SHAH ALAM, May 11 — The price of daily necessary goods in Selangor remains under control, said state executive councillor for consumer affairs Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni.
He said this is based on the monitoring by the Selangor Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) at four premises as of today.
Mohd Zawawi said the premises are wet markets at Section 6 and Section 16 in Shah Alam, SS15 in Subang Jaya and Meru in Klang.
“Alhamdulillah, based on the monitoring and checking by KPDNHEP in Selangor, most of the traders comply with the instructions and do not increase the prices of goods as they like.
“However, strict action will be taken against traders who fail to comply with the Aidilfitri Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme 2022 (SHMMP 2022),” he said when contacted by SelangorKini today.
Commenting on whether he has received any complaints from the public, Mohd Zawawi said as of now, no complaints have been filed concerning the price increase.
“Should they want to file a complaint, they can directly contact KPDNHEP,” he added.
Consumers can also file complaints by submitting complete information on the misconduct of traders around Selangor through the following official complaint channels:
