WASHINGTON, June 29 — Electric-vehicle maker Tesla laid off 200 workers at a facility in the state of California, Sputnik quoted a Bloomberg report.
The affected employees were notified of the layoffs earlier on Tuesday, the report said on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Many of the staff affected by the layoffs were data annotation specialists responsible for evaluating customer vehicle data related to the autopilot driver-assistance features, the report said.
Some human resources workers and software engineers have also been laid off, the report said. Some of the affected employees had worked at the company for just a few weeks, the report added.
The report noted that Tesla did not immediately respond for comment.
