33 flood evacuees still at PPS in Sarawak

KUCHING, Oct 13 — The number of flood victims at relief centres in Sarawak remained at 33 people today.

The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), in a statement, said the evacuees are at two PPS, both in the Subis district in Miri.

“Five of them, involving two families, are at the PPS at Dewan Masyarakat Sepupok Niah, while 28 others, from eight families, are at the PPS at Dewan Masyarakat Bekenu,” it said.

Meanwhile, the PPS in Kapt, at Asrama Kementerian Pembangunan Sosial dan Urbanisasi (KPSU), which opened on October 9, was closed on October 11.
