SHAH ALAM, Feb 22 — Members of the public is invited to the Selangor Saring programme in Gombak and Kuala Selangor this Saturday and Sunday.
State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said the programme starts from 9am to 4pm and offers four screening categories, namely non-communicable diseases, cancer, ophthalmology and additional screenings such as teeth, ears and physiotherapy.
“In Gombak, it will be held at the Ramadan bazaar site, Taman Melawati, while in Kuala Selangor, it will be at Dataran Esplanade, Ecoworld.
“This weekend, let’s all go for the Selangor Saring programme. Subsidised health check-ups awaits you,” she said on Facebook today.
The Selangor government continues the implementation of the Selangor Saring programme this year in conjunction with the organisation of the Jelajah Selangor Penyayang (JSP) roadshow.
A total of RM2.6 million has been allocated for the implementation of the programme with a target of 31,000 beneficiaries in all 56 constituencies.
Last year, Selangor Saring received more than 20,000 registrations and managed to identify 49 per cent of cases that required follow-up, consultation and further treatment.
