Affordable daily goods sales to resume next week

SHAH ALAM, April 26 — The Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat (JER) affordable basic necessities sales roadshow programme will continue as usual from next week onwards, so consumers can purchase their daily goods.

Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation chief executive officer Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi said the sale of items including chicken, eggs, beef, and fish, will run from 10am to 1pm.

“The affordable sale will resume as usual, in nine different locations every day. We understand many people need affordable basic items for this festive season.

“JER’s purpose is to help buyers save. Its prices offered is cheaper compared to the average market price,” he said to SelangorKini.

Members of the public can visit linktr.ee/myPKPS for updates on the different sales locations, from time to time.

Organised by the state government, the programme offers standard chicken at RM10 per pack, fresh solid beef (RM10 per pack), Grade B eggs (RM10 per tray), mackerel (RM6 per pack), 5kg bottles of cooking oil (RM25) and 5kg bags of rice (RM10).

It has benefitted over two million Selangor residents in the three months of its implementation, from September to December last year.

In the wake of the strongly encouraging response, the state government expanded the sales to 1,200 locations, from January 16 until May.
