By Suhaila Shahrul Annuar

SHAH ALAM, Aug 21 — The Selangor Water Management Board (Luas) developed four water quality telemetry stations in several river basins in the state.

The agency said three water quality telemetry stations which were set up in the Selangor and Langat river basins are currently in the process of calibrating the telemetry of their water quality data.

“Luas is also monitoring the progress of the development of the fourth  water quality telemetry station in Sungai Gong.

“From our observations, construction work at the water quality telemetry station in Sungai Gong is almost complete and will be followed up by the calibration of water quality data in the near future,” he said in a post on Facebook.

Luas previously announced the development of networked telemetry stations to facilitate the communication of data from the telemetry stations to the agency’s monitoring storage devices.

The telemetry station would also act as an early warning system upstream of the bay.
