Scheduled water disruption on June 5 — Air Selangor

SHAH ALAM, May 13 — The Phase 1 Sungai Selangor water treatment plant will undergo maintenance and asset replacement on June 5 from 9am until about 7pm.

Air Selangor Sdn Bhd management said the works will affect water supply in seven areas — Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor.

It said it would send water tankers to those areas, prioritising critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral ceremonies.

“For commercial consumers, treated water can be purchased at any Air Selangor customer service counter in affected areas.

“They can also fill their water tankers at four stations to be opened in Braemar Estate (Hulu Langat), Taman Gemilang Dengkil dan Pekan Salak (Sepang), and Taman Banting Baru (Kuala Langat),” it said on Facebook.

Water supply is expected to recover in stages from 3am on June 6 after maintenance and asset replacement work is done and the main distribution system is stabilised.

“Air Selangor advises affected consumers to store enough water and use it prudently during the disruption,” it said.

More information about the disruption can be found on the Air Selangor app, its Facebook, Instagram or X pages, its hotline at 15300, and its website.
