SHAH ALAM, June 11 — The police post (pondok) in Bandar Country Homes, Rawang, has now been upgraded to a station, said Rawang state assemblyman Chua Wei Kiat.

He said the structure, which was first completed in 2019, took several years to be converted to station status.

“Several factors as to why it took a long time to upgrade to station status include emoluments.

“However, now the project under the 10th Malaysia Plan, which cost RM16 million, has successfully turned the post into a police station.

“We also thank Selayang MP William Leong, who has worked to convert the post into a station for so long,” Chua said to SelangorKini.

He added that Bandar Country Homes’ residents will also feel safer now that there is a police station nearby.

“This station will also have additional police officers to serve in this area for the local community,” Chua said.

On June 4, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan visited the Bandar Country Homes Rawang police station.

The visit was to inspect the readiness of the officers on duty, the state of the infrastructure, and the logistics to ensure the station’s smooth operation.
