SHAH ALAM, June 15 — The state government is holding free health screenings for the public in three constituencies at the end of the month.
State executive councillor for public health and environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin said on Facebook that the Selangor Saring programme offers eye, ear, dental, heart, kidney, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer check-ups.
“Pre-register via the Selangkah app as the risk factor for each individual is done through an early screening form on the app.
“Call Selcare at 1800-226-600 if you have issues with registration,” she said.
The Selangor Saring programme details are as follows:
Bukit Melawati: June 22, 9am to 3pm, at Dewan MPKS Bandar Baru Kuala Selangor
Gombak Setia: June 29, 9am to 3pm, at Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Penyelaras DUN Gombak Setia
Banting: June 30, 9am to 3pm, at Dewan Sri Jugra in Telok Datok
When tabling Selangor’s Budget 2024, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced RM3.2 million in funding for free health screenings.
The programme was launched to boost early detection by targeting individuals who have family histories of certain diseases, obesity, or lead unhealthy lifestyles.
