KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 — The Leadership Madani Thinkers Programme in Universiti Teknologi Mara will be expanded to other higher learning institutions (IPTs), said Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir.
This was announced by Zambry in a Facebook post last night.
He said the programme aims to bring IPT heads, lecturers and young leaders together to appreciate the direction of national development.
Zambry said the two-day programme, organised by the Malaysian National Academy in collaboration with UiTM, gathered 74 participants from UiTM’s highest leadership across the country, with the aim of strengthening the direction of the institution in line with the Madani Malaysia agenda and the appreciation of Rukun Negara.
Zambry said UiTM must move quickly, in line with current rapid changes.
He also said UiTM should no longer be haunted by its history as a government university that relies entirely on the administration.
