Sultan, Tengku Permaisuri wish all Muslims a blessed Aidiladha

SHAH ALAM, June 17 — Their Royal Highnesses, the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and the Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Norashikin hope that all Muslims in Selangor and nationwide assist the poor during this Hari Raya Aidiladha.

In a statement by the Selangor Royal Office yesterday, Their Royal Highnesses also reminded Muslims to perform the religious obligation of sacrifice for the poor, while reflecting on the plight of the more destitute.

“We also urge Muslims to fulfil their duties and responsibilities as obedient followers of Islam by strengthening unity and fostering closer bonds of fellowship.

“Similarly, we pray that the Malaysian Haj pilgrims in the Holy Land can perform their pilgrimage perfectly and be blessed with a faithful and prosperous Haj, after which they may return home safely,” they said.

Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin also prayed that those who perform the Haj will learn humility from the experience, and that it may strengthen and increase the level of their faith.

“Thus, we extend Hari Raya Aidiladha 1445H greetings to all Muslims in Selangor, specifically, and in Malaysia, generally,” said Their Royal Highnesses.
