FM Mohamad congratulates Terry on new role at No 10 Downing Street

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 — Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan congratulated British High Commissioner Alisa Terry on her new appointment as the United Kingdom (UK)Prime Minister’s Private Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

The message was conveyed by Mohamad when he received a farewell call from Terry at his office today, according to Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry on its Facebook page.

During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the long-standing bilateral relations between Malaysia and the UK.

In her new role, Terry will advise Prime Minister Keir Starmer on foreign policy issues and work closely with the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office in London.

Terry, who began her stint in Malaysia in August last year, will officially assume her new duties at No 10 Downing Street early next month.
