AMPANG, Aug 11 — The Panorama recreation park at Bukit Antarabangsa will become the latest tourist attraction in conjunction with Visit Selangor Year 2025.
Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) President Ani Ahmad said the 1.52 square metre location is a popular spot for local residents who wish to enjoy the beautiful view of Kuala Lumpur.
“This place has now gone viral on social media due to its strategic location for visitors to take photos and witness the sunrise or sunset with the backdrop of the KLCC Twin Towers.
“MPAJ has also improved facilities for visitors by upgrading the car park and providing seating for the comfort of the public,” she said.
Ani was speaking to the press at Panorama’s opening ceremony yesterday, which was officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari. Also present was Bukit Antarabangsa state assemblyman Mohd Kamri Kamaruddin.
She added that Panorama was the site of a landslide in the 1990s, which was later redeveloped into a recreational area for RM16.5 million using funds from the state government.
MPAJ also plans to construct a landmark gateway and a café at the location in the future, making it a new attraction in Ampang.
“In the 1990s, there was a landslide here, and the state government later redeveloped it via an upgrading project that began in 2016 and which was completed in 2018.
“This area is frequently visited by the public, and we see potential in Panorama, though we also acknowledge the need to include various other interesting activities. However, we must also take into account the sensitivities of the surrounding residents,” she said.
Panorama, which also features a 300-metre hilly jogging track, is open daily from 6am to 10pm, with parking fees as low as RM2 per hour.
