Sukma 2024: Adania celebrates silver in women’s singles tenpin bowling

SHAH ALAM, Aug 15 — Local girl Adania Mohd Redzwan secured a silver medal in the women’s singles tenpin bowling event during the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) at Megalanes Emart in Batu Kawa, Kuching tonight.

As of 10pm, Selangor has won two gold medals via women’s wushu athlete Mandy Cebelle Chen and one silver in the women’s singles tenpin bowling match by Adania.

As of 8pm, Selangor leads Group B in the men’s futsal event after defeating Perak 8-6 in a match at the Kota Samarahan Indoor Stadium.

Goals were scored by Syahir Iqbal Khan Akbar Khan in the first minute, followed by Muhamad Syauki Ahmad Puad (9′), Ahmed Haziq Haikal (12′, 30′, 36′, and 36′), and Zulkifli Abu Hassan Zali (18′ and 33′).

As of 6pm, the Selangor women’s sepak takraw team defeated Penang 2-1 in the group stage at the Muhibah Stadium in Bintulu.

The men’s sepak takraw team also recorded a 2-1 victory over Pahang. Selangor is currently in seventh place with two gold medals in the overall medal standings.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari also congratulated Mandy on securing Selangor’s first gold medal yesterday.

Meanwhile, heavy rain since this morning hindered Selangor’s performance in the team and individual cycling events from reaching the podium.
