SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — Local entrepreneurs are invited to join the free digital entrepreneur programme held by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) on October 3.
Sidec Digitalisation Department head Salman Fua’ad said Series 5 of the Selangor 1000 Digital programme in Gombak is set to be held at Hotel Mercure in Selayang from 9am to 5pm that day.
“Digitalisation (in business) is important, and if it doesn’t start now, we will lag behind others who have thought ahead. An entrepreneur must gain this knowledge to understand (digitalisation).
“Entrepreneurs with huge potential … We will help them develop their business. That’s how we choose these entrepreneurs,” he told Selangor TV on the Hai Selangor programme.
Salman said programme participants will be given exposure to 10 topics via collaboration with strategic partners such as Affin Bank, TikTok Shop, Hijrah Selangor, Shopline, and Bizz App, which will share information about digital business management and content creation techniques.
“To survive the digital world, we must have digital solutions. We bring 10 topics through his Selangor 1000 Digital programme. Participants can choose the topic they are curious about by visiting the counter,” he said.
In May, the state government introduced the Selangor 1000 Digital programme to facilitate the digital transformation of local enterprises.
The programme is a collaboration between Sidec, Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), Selangor Economic Planning Unit, and Platform Selangor.
Nearly 2,700 entrepreneurs are set to benefit from the programme, which will tour all nine districts until next year.
To date, the Selangor 1000 Digital programme has been held in Petaling, Sabak Bernam, Sepang, and Hulu Langat, and will end this year in Gombak.
