KUALA LANGAT, Sept 16 — Lembah Jaya assemblyman Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad has used over RM50,000 to ensure the welfare of his constituents.
Syed Ahmad, better known as Altimet, said welfare initiatives in the constituency include wheelchair and patient bed donations and financial aid.
“For the first year of administration, programmes were mainly focused on helping residents as it was the most urgent. Even with other programmes, it cannot be that welfare issues are left unaddressed.
“This includes wheelchair and patient bed donations as well as financial aid such as electricity bill payments. Though they are not fully paid, the (aid) can help them survive.
“After welfare issues are handled, we will focus on programmes for society, women empowerment, care economy, and entrepreneurship,” he said.
He said that every month, he will ensure welfare issues such as wheelchair needs and related matters are handled to ensure applicants do not have to wait long.
“Needs like these are urgent, so we cannot make people wait. That is why I make sure that when someone who fits the criteria applies, we do our best to help,” he said.
