KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 — Bizapp Ventures Sdn Bhd and Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, aimed at empowering 50,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) in Selangor to transition to digital operations over the next five years.
Bizapp chief executive officer Mohd Jefrey Aman said that through the Point of Sales (POS)-Selangor Platform (PLATS) initiative, the company has developed and provided the BIZAPPOS system to support PLATS entrepreneurs.
The POS system comes equipped with specialised devices designed to enhance traders’ daily sales activities, including inventory management functions and the ability to accept cashless payments through credit and debit cards, QR codes, and digital wallets.
“This collaboration is particularly timely, as the POS-PLATS system initiative is essential for realising the Selangor government’s agenda of achieving a cash-free society within five years.
“As a local technology company, we are proud that MBI has chosen Bizapp to make this agenda a success,” he said in a statement today.
With over eight years of experience in the digital industry and a proven track record of assisting nearly 700,000 entrepreneurs, Jefrey is confident that the company will excel in supporting this MBI initiative.
