Thunderstorms expected to hit 10 states, KL this evening

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 — Thunderstorms are expected to occur in 10 states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur until 5pm today.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued a warning at 1pm, stating that the states involved are Penang and Perak, as well as Selangor’s districts of Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat.

Also predicted to experience thunderstorms are Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan, alongside Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu in Kedah.

For the East Coast states, Pahang’s districts include Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, and Rompin, while Terengganu includes Besut, Setiu, and Hulu Terengganu, in addition to Kelantan’s Jeli and Kuala Krai.

Similar weather conditions are also expected in Sabah’s Tambunan, Sandakan, and Kudat districts, while in Sarawak it involves Mukah, Kapit, and Bintulu.
