STFC: Abide by MCO, protect high-risk groups

By Amin Ridzuan Ishak

SHAH ALAM, April 14 — The public is reminded to continue complying with the movement control order (MCO) to protect the senior citizens and high-risk groups from contracting Covid-19.

The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) said the two groups are most vulnerable against the infection and face a higher risk of complications, including death.

“It is very important to adhere to the MCO so that it does not spread to our parents and family members.

“Prevention is best,” the task force said on Twitter last night.

The task force shared an infographic that stated 60 per cent of the Covid-19 deaths were among those aged 60 and above.

It said 75 per cent of the fatalities involved those with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes and high blood pressure, and 60 per cent were associated with the Seri Petaling gathering cluster.
