5,304 new Covid-19 cases recorded Sunday

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — Malaysia recorded a slight drop in new Covid-19 cases at 5,304 cases in the last 24 hours, compared with 5,793 cases reported on Saturday.

Health director-general, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, through a post on his Twitter account, said that the development brings the cumulative number of cases to 657,508.

He said that Selangor remained the state with the highest number of daily cases, at 1,973, followed by Sarawak (544), Kuala Lumpur (462), Johor (363) and Sabah (335).

Apart from that, Negeri Sembilan (331), Kedah (301), Penang (256), Kelantan (179), Labuan (158), Melaka (145), Perak (121), Pahang (78), Terengganu (46), Putrajaya (seven) and Perlis (five).
