Mohd Khalid Ismail appointed new Special Branch director

KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — Special Branch deputy director Datuk Mohd Khalid Ismail has been appointed as the new Special Branch Director, effective May 8.

Police secretary Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin in a statement today said that Mohd Khalid will carry out the responsibility by acting up the VUYA5 (JUSA A) grade.

She said Mohd Khalid is replacing Datuk Baharuddin Ahmad who will be transferred to the National Security Council (MKN).

“At MKN, Baharuddin will take up the position of National Security (Strategic Communications) deputy director-general,” Noorsiah said.

Mohd Khalid was appointed as Special Branch deputy director on October 25 last year.
