RM100,000 in funds to ready sepak takraw, futsal courts in Kuang

SELAYANG, July 16 — Two sports courts for sepak takraw and for futsal, with a total value of RM100,000, have been constructed and upgraded in the Kuang state constituency this year.

The constituency’s coordinator Salasiah Disa said the sepak takraw court is located at Blok 28 of Persiaran Lembah Hijau, while the futsal court is at Pangsapuri Maplewood in Bandar Tasik Puteri.

“The sepak takraw court was completed yesterday at a cost of RM50,000, while the futsal court was upgraded with the same cost on July 8.

“The construction and upgrading costs of both courts were funded via allocations by Projek Selangor Penyayang (PSP), she said during the Jualan Ehsan Rahmah (JER) affordable basic necessities sale at Kampung Baru Kundang in Kuang yesterday.

Salasiah added that both projects, which were approved before the dissolution of the State Legislative Assembly on June 23, will benefit over 3,000 residents in their respective areas.

During the tabling of the 2023 Selangor Budget on November 25 last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that RM28 million will be allocated under PSP to boost and stimulate the local economy, via the provision of small-scale projects for the benefit of local communities.

It will prioritise the maintenance and upgrading of infrastructure, as well as the of public facilities by the government, including those without annual maintenance allocations.
