SHAH ALAM, Jan 13 — Applications for the Selangor Aerospace Apprenticeship Programme’s technical engineering programme have been opened until January 24.
Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI said the immediate intake offer is for the April session.
The 24-month programme, in collaboration with aerospace company GE Engine Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd (GE Malaysia), aims to enhance the availability of industry talent and simultaneously ensure employability.
“This is good news for Selangor’s residents. For those who are eligible, apply immediately and do not miss this opportunity,” it said in a Facebook post yesterday.
The programme’s advantages include the opportunity to work with GE Malaysia, exposure to the aerospace industry, guidance from industry experts, and allowances for participants, subject to terms and conditions.
To qualify, applicants and his or her parents must be Malaysian citizens, born in or residing in Selangor for at least 11 years.
They must have at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, with a minimum 3.5 CGPA or higher.

The aerospace apprenticeship programme is an initiative by the state government to provide highly skilled workforce in the aerospace industry.
Launched in September 2022, it aims to sharpen and empower youths to join the aerospace industry, thereby building a sustainable talent or workforce chain for Selangor.
