SEPANG, March 31 — Their Royal Highnesses the Sultan of Selangor and the Tengku Permaisuri Selangor graced a community fast-breaking event at Masjid Cyberjaya 10 today.
Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, accompanied by the Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah and Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, also presented RM272,000 in Hari Raya Aidilfitri contributions to 544 recipients.
The recipients included 264 needy asnaf (tithe recipients), 141 poor asnaf, and 139 converts from around Sepang, with each receiving RM500.
During the same event, His Royal Highness also signed a plaque to commemorate the inauguration of Masjid Cyberjaya 10, which was completed in 2018 at RM12.5 million by a private developer.
The mosque, with its open concept and green surroundings, was recognized as one of the top 22 mosques globally via the Abdullatif Alfozan Award for mosque architecture in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last year.
After the fast-breaking meal, Sultan Sharafuddin also performed the Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih congregational prayers.
Also in attendance were State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim, the state executive councillor for housing Borhan Aman Shah, and the Selangor Islamic Religious Department’s director Datuk Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad.
