Rural development stakeholders must ensure project completion — Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 — Every stakeholder in the rural development ecosystem needs to ensure every project is completed, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said.

He said this is important to ensure the people would benefit from those programmes.

Zahid said the matter was raised at the first Ministerial Development Action Meeting of the Rural and Regional Development Ministry (KKDW) here today.

He said in a Facebook post that KKDW received an allocation of RM7.44 billion this year to implement 1,763 projects.

Zahid said the meeting was held to review KKDW projects implemented this year.

“With the presence of representatives of the Finance Ministry, the Economy Ministry, the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) and representatives of other ministries and agencies, I am confident rural development matters can be managed perfectly,” he said.
