Commuters can now use credit, debit cards at all Rapid KL stations

KUALA LUMPUR May 1 — Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, the operator of Rapid KL rail network, has introduced a new payment option allowing customers to use debit or credit cards at all customer service counters starting yesterday.

In a statement today, Rapid Rail said the introduction of the new payment method, provided as an additional option to the existing ones, aimed at improving the efficiency of the ticket purchasing process for the convenience of Rapid KL users.

It said the move was in line with Rapid Rail’s commitment to continuously improving the ticket purchasing system, meeting the needs of users and enhancing passengers’ experience with Rapid KL services.

“LRT, MRT, Monorail and BRT users now have the flexibility to use debit or credit cards for transactions, including purchasing tokens, reloading Touch ‘n Go cards and subscribing to My50 or MyCity travel passes.

“With this new payment option, users no longer need to worry about carrying cash or looking for an automated teller machine (ATM), as it provides a safer and smoother transaction process.

“This payment mode is also available at the Rapid KL Concession Card Registration Counter at Pasar Seni Hub and the Conlay MRT Station,” it said.
