SHAH ALAM, SEP 21: Zakat contributors can now join Kempen Tambah Caruman through the e-SPG from September to December 2016.
Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) Corporate Communications Division Head Norajun Ainun Mohd Hashim said the campaign is however, only open to those who are contributing through the Salary Deduction Scheme (SPG).
She said that the campaign targets those who have been paying the same zakat amount for three consecutive years through SPG.
“We want to encourage zakat contributors to re-evaluate and pay through SPG with a fixed amount.
“LZS also hopes to make SPG a medium of payment for zakat on property and income.
“We hope the e-SPG will be utilised more widely after this,” she said to SelangorKini.
In 2015, there were 175,766 zakat contributors who paid through SPG.
Through this campaign, 100 lucky contributors stand a chance to win a special prize. Additional payment can be made online through www.zakatselangor.com.my/espg-online.
