RM45 million to expand iClean Selangor

SHAH ALAM, OCT 31: The State Government will expand the iClean Selangor system with an allocation of RM45 million, Dato’ Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali announced.
He said as Salur RM45 juta perluas iClean Selangormany as four local authorities will receive the benefits of the complaints system currently being implemented in the Klang Municipal Council (MPK).
“This system is capable in locating the complaint location to ease monitoring and speed up remedial measures.
“Based on our concern to the rakyat’s demand for a faster and more efficient solid waste disposal operation, we will expand iClean Selangor to other local authorities in 2017,” he said while tabling the 2017 Selangor Budget at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly on October 31.

In Julai 2016, KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) was appointed to lead a pioneer project to restructure the solid waste management in Klang.
Mohamed Azmin said the management takeover received positive feedback.
“The effectiveness of the operation is due to the use of technology in collection operations, lorries’ movement and by area supervisors.
“It is also due to the complaint system based on the iClean Selangor app that can be monitored directly using real time monitoring by the Command Centre,” he said.
