Selangor Budget: Small but with significant impact

BY NAZLI IBRAHIM
SHAH ALAM, OCT 27: Even though the Selangor State Government’s overall budget is not as big as the Federal Government’s budget, every programme initiated offers significant impact for citizens.
Housing, Building Management and Urban Settlement Exco Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad said that the State Government succeeded in ensuring that each sen spent does not go to waste.
“I hope the citizens notice that even though State Government has a smaller budget compared to Federal Government, we still manage to utilize every sen for citizens’ benefit, without waste.
“Compared to the Federal Budget, the Selangor Budget is limited but brings significant impact,” Iskandar said to SelangorKini.
He explained that Barisan Nasional (BN)’s widespread of corruption, excessive spending and leakages are the main cause of high expenses with little returns to citizens.
He said this can be clearly seen when the government funds that are financed by the people are left to flow into certain cronies’ pockets, thus harming the country.
