SHAH ALAM, NOV 28: The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has won the Community Based Planning Award 2016, during the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) Excellence Award Ceremony on November 25.
In a Facebook statement, MBSA announced that the recognition was due to the success of Projek Shah Alam Mini Zee Bee, which was introduced in 2013.
“The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) had won the 2016 Community Based Planning Award for the success of its Projek Shah Alam Mini Zee Bee, which was organised by the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP),” he said.
The programme was a part of the council’s initiative to create awareness on hygiene through community involvement, besides strengthening unity among communities in its jurisdiction.
It is hoped the success will contribute towards making Shah Alam a green and carbon-free city by 2030.
