Committed to resolve the crisis of affordable homes

The budget presented this afternoon has shown Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) commitment to resolve the affordable-home crisis faced by the younger generation today.
The housing crisis happening today is about the buying power in tandem with income and the mechanism to address the sharp increase of housing prices.
Through this budget, PH has proposed that all housing statutory bodies be incorporated into a single-authority body to be responsible for providing quality and affordable housing. In fact, we will do the hire-purchase for affordable housing at a reduced price.
This proposal is in line with Pakatan Harapan Youth’s Offer wanting the national housing policy to be driven by one statutory body that will regulate the overall quantity and price of houses.
Barisan Nasional’s failure to keep their promise to provide 1.5 million affordable houses by 2018 is most embarrassing and proves that they are not fit to continue to be in Putrajaya.
Congratulations to Pakatan Harapan for being able to cover all the key and major issues, through an alternative budget that rediscovers the value of integrity in administration and dignity of the people through social policies.
