Seven new Covid-19 cases detected, bringing total to 36

PUTRAJAYA, March 3 — Malaysia has recorded seven new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases recorded to date to 36.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said 14 cases are being treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital and Kuala Lumpur Hospital while 22 others have been discharged.

All those receiving treatment are in stable condition, it said after Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was briefed on the situation by Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali at Perdana Putra here today.

The PMO also advised those who had visited countries like China, South Korea, Japan and Italy to adhere to travel and health advisory issued by authorities.
