Shanghai reports no increase in Covid-19 cases

SHANGHAI, April 18 — Shanghai’s municipal health commission said Saturday that no domestic cases and imported cases of novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) were reported in the municipality on Friday, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.

The commission said a total of 289 imported cases had been reported in Shanghai by Friday, while 33 suspected imported cases are under quarantine. Among the imported cases, 181 have been discharged from hospital after recovery.

By Friday, the number of locally transmitted confirmed cases in the municipality was 339, including seven deaths. One patient in the severe condition is being treated in hospital.
