New state executive councillors take oath of secrecy, joins virtual meeting

SHAH ALAM, Sept 30 — Tanjung Sepat state assemblyman Borhan Aman Shah, and Sungai Kandis representative Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni, who were newly-elected as Selangor state executive councillors on September 17, had taken the oaths of secrecy pledge today.

The ceremony was held virtually before Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari at the Selangor Economic Action Council (MTES) meeting room, followed by the State Executive Council meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Amirudin via online as he is undergoing home quarantine.

In a statement issued by the Menteri Besar’s Office yesterday, Amirudin will be chairing official meetings of the state government online until October 4 despite receiving a negative result for Covid-19 after the first screening on Monday.

He will also undergo periodic Covid-19 screening following his return from Sabah to ensure that he is free from the infection before returning to work as usual.

Amirudin was in Sabah from September 22 in show of support for Pakatan Harapan during the state election.

Beginning Sunday until October 10, individuals returning from Sabah have been imposed with the mandatory Covid-19 screening and must undergo the Health Ministry’s home surveillance order (HSO).
