Selangor records 236 Covid-19 infections, 160 recoveries

SHAH ALAM, Nov 10 — Selangor has registered a total of 236 positive Covid-19 infections today out of the total 869 daily cases recorded.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the new cases in Selangor include one imported infection involving a foreigner who arrived from Nepal.

The state reported 160 new recoveries.

“Out of the 235 (local) cases reported, 162 cases are from existing clusters, while 33 are from close contact screenings and 40 infections were detected from other testings,” said Dr Noor Hisham in a statement today.

He also declared the end of the Jelok Cluster in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur today.

Dr Noor Hisham said the Jelok Cluster was detected on November 10 and five out of the 31 individuals screened were found positive for Covid-19. No deaths were reported from the cluster.

As of noon today, the cumulative figure recorded in Selangor stands at 6,523, out of the total 42,050 cases recorded nationwide.

Out of 46 active clusters in the country, 14 are identified in Selangor.

The clusters are the Kaya Cluster, Usaha Cluster, Hentian Cluster, Perigi Cluster, Lengkuk Cluster, Bah Manggis Cluster, Teratai Cluster, Tapak Bina Damanlela Cluster, Gedong Cluster, Jaya Cluster, Utama Cluster, Melati Cluster, Bah Tropicana Cluster, and Keladi Cluster.
