Selangor MB conveys condolences to family of Abu Sujak

SHAH ALAM, Feb 12 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari conveyed his condolences to the family of Dato’ Abu Sujak Mahmud, who passed away yesterday evening.

Amirudin through his Facebook posting yesterday said the late Abu Sujak was a devoted figure who has served as the first Mayor of Shah Alam City Council when he was appointed on October 10, 2000.

“Received the sad news that Dato’ Abu Sujak Mahmud has passed away. He was a devoted figure and the former Deputy Selangor Menteri Besar.

“May his soul be blessed and placed in the in paradise. My condolences to the family,” he wrote on Facebook.

Abu Sujak, who hailed from Kampung Jawa, Klang, had served as the deputy to the then Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib from Nov 1989 until the general election in 1990.

He had also served as the assemblyman for Subang for two terms from 1986 to 1995 and Batu Tiga for one term until 1999, all on Barisan Nasional tickets.
