Fully vaccinated adults in Selangor reach almost 50 pct

SHAH ALAM, Aug 15 — A total of 2.36 million individuals or 49.7 per cent of the adult population in Selangor have received complete doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of today.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Amirudin Shari said the cumulative doses of vaccine administered in the state is currently at 6.09 million.

“Out of the total, some 3.73 million individuals or 78.6 per cent have been vaccinated under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

“Meanwhile under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax), an additional 292,026 doses of vaccine have been administered as of August 15,” he said on Facebook today.

Earlier, the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) in an infographic stated that Selangor’s vaccination rate stands at 103,083 out of the total 442,150 doses recorded nationwide as of yesterday.
