More than 50 pct of adult population in Selangor fully vaccinated

SHAH ALAM, 16 Aug — A total of 2.43 million individuals or 51.2 per cent of the adult population in Selangor have completed their two doses of the Covid-19 vaccines.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Amirudin Shari said as of today, 3.76 million adults, or 79.1 per cent, have received their first dose.

“The cumulative number of doses which have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) in Selangor is 6.19 million.

“Meanwhile an additional 296,213 doses have been administered via the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax),” he said on Facebook today.

Earlier, the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) in an infographic stated that Selangor’s vaccination rate stands at 103,784 out of the total 414,875 doses recorded nationwide as of yesterday.
