Cleanup of 13 Petaling, Klang localities completed — MBSA

SHAH ALAM, Jan 5 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has completed the post-flood cleanup work for nine localities in Petaling district and four localities in Klang district, as of January 4.

It said the areas in Petaling include Section 13, Section 19, Section 22 (Kampung Kebun Bunga), Section 23, Section 28 (Kampung Lanchong Jaya), Section U1 (Taman Mesra), and Section U3 (Desa Subang Perantau).

Other Petaling areas include Section U6 (Kampung Melayu Subang), and U17 (Kampung Merbau Sempak / Kampung Kubu Gajah).

The areas in Klang that were cleared include Section 32, Section 33 (Alam Indah), Section 35 (Taman Desa Kemuning), and Section 36 (Taman Sri Wangi, Sungai Kandis).

In the post-flood cleanup report, MBSA said it has thus far collected approximately 34,188 tonnes of post-flood waste from affected areas under its jurisdiction.

The council said a total of 2,814 tonnes were collected yesterday, with 2,340 tonnes in Klang and 474 tonnes in Petaling.

Similarly, a total of 2,130 tonnes of waste was collected from Taman Sri Muda in Section 25.
