MB: Selangor distributes over 30,000 Aidilfitri shopping vouchers to B40

SHAH ALAM, May 11 — The state government has distributed 33,400 Jom Shopping Aidilfitri vouchers to members of the B40 income group.

In a Facebook post, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the initiative is aimed at easing their burden in celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“In conjunction with Aidilfitri this year, a total of RM3.34 million has been allocated to 33,400 Selangor citizens so they can enjoy the special vouchers (Jom Shopping Aidilfitri).

“This contribution was channelled to the 56 state constituencies,” he said.

Amirudin, who is the Sungai Tua state assemblyman, also shared an infographic on the allocation of the special vouchers in the constituency.

A total of 450 recipients from Sungai Tua state constituency received the Jom Shopping Aidilfitri vouchers worth RM100 each.

They consisted of B40 families, single mothers, disabled persons as well as non-members of the state’s Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (KISS) and Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) initiatives.
