KUALA LANGAT, May 19 — The state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at Jugra Stadium here last night received almost 5,000 visitors.
The ceremony was graced with the presence of Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari with his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Mohamad.
Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Haris Kasim, district officer Muhammad Heeza Hassan, Tanjung Sepat state assemblyman Borhan Aman Shah, Morib state assemblyman Hasnul Baharuddin and Banting state assemblyman Lau Weng San were among the guests present.
At the ceremony, Amirudin also presented ‘duit raya’ donations to children.
Various menus are served to visitors including nasi minyak, satay, roasted lamb, lemang, ketupat, rendang and fruits.
The open houses organised by the state government are held from May 15 until May 21 to celebrate the Hari Raya festival together after two years of living under strict Covid-19 restrictions.
The first open house was held on Sunday at Dewan Serbaguna dan Kompleks Sukan Hulu Selangor and at the Taman Melawati Ramadan bazaar site the following day.
The open house ceremony continues today at the Bandar Melawati Bus Terminal in Kuala Selangor from 3pm to 6 pm.
