Light aircraft makes emergency landing at Subang Airport

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 — A light aircraft made an emergency landing at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS) in Subang, Selangor, this morning.

Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) chief executive officer Datuk Captain Norazman Mahmud said two pilots onboard the Diamond DA-42 light aircraft with registration number N566CB, operated by  Techstrait Ltd, were reported safe.

“The aircraft departed at 8.26 am from LTSAAS, and the Subang Air Traffic Control Tower received an emergency call shortly after takeoff. The aircraft made an emergency landing at 8.28 am,” he said in a statement today.

Norazman said the runway is temporarily closed for aviation operations until the aircraft is removed from the runway.

He also said that the Air Accident Investigation Bureau under the Transport Ministry will conduct further investigations in accordance with Part XXVI of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016.
