Iltizam Selangor Penyayang roadshow to begin on June 11 in Hulu Langat

SHAH ALAM, June 1 — The Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) roadshow, which aims to promote welfare initiatives by the state government, is scheduled to begin on June 11 in Hulu Langat.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari is expected to officiate the one-day carnival that will also be held in other districts until July.

“We did not just change the name of the programme, but we also want to foster a loving and caring culture in the community,” he said on May 21.

Apart from disseminating information on the various initiatives, the programme also features other events such as aerobics, cooking competition, flower arrangements, traditional sports, skateboarding and e-sports.

ISP was introduced with a total allocation of RM305.19 million, which is the newly repackaged social welfare programme of the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat and aims to reach more people.

For instance, the Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas), which replaces the Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (KISS) programme, would benefit up to 30,000 eligible families compared to the previous 25,000 families.

The free health screening programme Selangor Saring will also be held during the roadshow. The programme started on May 22, with a RM3.4 million allocation to benefit 39,000 people.

The ISP roadshow is scheduled to be held in Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Petaling and Gombak.
