Exco: First Selangor Plan well-organised, important agenda for state development

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

SUBANG JAYA, July 15 — The First Selangor Plan (RS-1), which will be tabled this month, is a significant agenda for the state’s development, says state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han.

He said the RS-1 was designed to promote sustainable growth that would benefit all parties and to point the state in the right direction for the sustainability of the state.

“The RS-1 implementation has been thoughtfully planned out, and many issues will be covered. For instance, when it comes to infrastructure, the involvement of government organisations alone is insufficient; all stakeholders, including the people, must work together.

“To ensure that all of the plans for Selangor can be carried out, it is important that all parties participate in the RS-1,” he was after inspecting the new road in Jalan Kinrara 6, here, yesterday.

On July 7, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari launched the RS-1 Symposium session at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Centre.

The Menteri Besar said that in achieving Selangor’s Smart State agenda by 2015, the five-year plan focuses on four core principles, namely economy, social, sustainability and governance.

He said a clear framework on the RS-1 will be revealed on July 25 during the opening of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting.
