Amirudin to continue leading Selangor PKR, Rafizi to head Federal Territories

By Jerry Choong

SHAH ALAM, Aug 3 — Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari will continue to lead PKR in Selangor as the party’s state Leadership Council chairman, while PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli will serve as its Federal Territories Leadership Council chairman.

Party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said a meeting session with all PKR division heads in Selangor and the Federal Territories was convened earlier today, to finalise the selection of the new chairmen.

“During the meeting, all Selangor division heads agreed to the appointment of Amirudin Shari as chairman of the State Leadership Council.

“Meanwhile all Federal Territories division heads also agreed to the appointment of Rafizi Ramli as its Leadership Council chairman,” he said in a statement.

Anwar added he believes both appointments will help PKR in expediting its preparedness to face the upcoming 15th general election.

Amirudin has held the position of Selangor PKR Leadership Council chairman since 2018, while Rafizi recently obtained the deputy presidency during the party elections on June 24.
